-- We've been working on this idea for awhile, but it wasn't until recently that we finalized a preview story for Alice! I've had images in my mind and John has had the words in his mind for some time, some from my own view of Rabbits and Mushrooms and from John's world of Pirates and Mermaids. And it was only 2 weeks before the NYCC (New york Comic con) that we came up with a perfect sneak preview story of the book! and i need to finish the entire preview, so it was 5 pages on a 11 x 17 pencilled on a board/ then colored digitally / one 11 x 17 cover page pencilled on a board / then digitally painted // and one painted alternate cover // and finalizing one tittle logo....WHEEEW! all on 6 days....and john had 3 days to print the preview out and hand it out to 500 people! 500 have the book in their hands now! so am so sorry for some loss of updates on my site

Super girl experimental media - done on pencils on boards, colored with Rembrandt acrylic sable #1 Rembrandt bristle- then pictured using my point and shoot Nikon cool pix with some home made filter on the flash and used some plastics for filter on the sides of the painting and finally used some photoshop on some color corrections. yes...why did i do all of those things while i can easily create this kind of art on digital? bec. its fun to experiment on art thats why

Golden Stare "notes- i was inspired while listening to this song (Wrapped in Piano Strings by Radical Face - see it here and be inspired [link] ) i kinda felt the notes translated into colors of violet, brown, orange and red." Download the whole painting and stare at it while listening to the music and feel the magic Oils on Canvass / Wet on Wet / Rembrandt and winsor and newton paints used / raphael #12 squirell's hair brush #2 and #1 raphael sable brush ( dont know wet on wet? look here "Wet-on-wet is a painting technique in which layers of wet paint are applied to previous layers of wet paint. This technique requires a fast way of working, because the art work has to be finished before the first layers have dried. Wet-on-wet painting goes right back to the origins of oil painting, and was used by several of the best Early Netherlandish painters in parts of their pictures, such as Jan van Eyck in the Arnolfini portrait, and Rogier van der Weyden.[1] In traditional painting methods new layers were applied to most parts of a painting only after allowing the previous layer to completely dry. This drying process could vary from several days to several weeks, depending on the thickness of the layer. Since the mid-19th century the use of commercially produced pigments in portable tubes has facilitated rapid and on-the-spot painting. Impressionists like Claude Monet and Vincent van Gogh, realists like John Singer Sargent, Robert Henri and George Bellows, and the Abstract Expressionist Willem de Kooning have each in different ways exploited the potential for fluid energy in the application of oil paints." )

Lest I should not be able to write again, I feel impelled to write a few lines that may fall under your eye when I shall be no more . . . I have no misgivings about, or lack of confidence in the cause in which I am engaged, and my courage does not halt or falter. I know how strongly American Civilization now leans on the triumph of the Government and how great a debt we owe to those who went before us through the blood and sufferings of the Revolution. i play around with layer adjustments in CS3 adding hues layer, saturation with mask, exposure, color balace, gradient overlay - all in a different adjustment layer then after that i play around with their blending options so that the main piece is still intact and i can compare the edited to the original layer and i sometimes overpaint on a layer and mask it again using adjustment layers to add the painterly effects
